Klimabonus Wunnen 2026 for External Wall Insulation (EWI)
Since 4 January 2026, Klimabonus Wunnen has replaced PRIMe House, managed by the AEV via MyGuichet.lu. Grant amounts:

External Wall Insulation: the Best Value
EWI is the most effective solution for reducing heat loss through walls (up to 25 % of total losses):
- Performance: eliminates thermal bridges, walls continuously heated from outside
- Comfort: more stable indoor temperature, summer and winter
- Floor space: no loss of habitable area, unlike internal insulation
- CPE: significant improvement in energy class (often 1 to 2 classes)
Permits and Regulations
In Luxembourg, facade renovation may require a municipal authorisation, especially if:
- The building is in a protected area or historic zone
- EWI changes the facade thickness (encroaches on public space)
- The colour or materials change significantly
