Klimabonus Wunnen 2026 : Luxembourg's Roof Insulation Grant
Since 4 January 2026, the Klimabonus Wunnen has replaced Klimabonus. Managed by the Environment Administration (AEV) via MyGuichet.lu. Important: prior approval must be obtained before work begins.

Each range runs from performance standard III up to standard I: the better the standard reached, the higher the rate per square metre. The figure in brackets is the majored amount under the transitional increase. The grant is calculated on the surface actually insulated, not as a share of the invoice.
Requirements: thermal resistance R ≥ 7 m²K/W recommended for loft insulation (R ≥ 6 for flat roofs). Prior approval on MyGuichet.lu before works. Contractor must be registered with the Luxembourg Chamber of Trades.

The Klimabonus does not cut them by a fixed percentage: it is paid separately, at the €/m² rate set by the insulant and the performance standard reached (see the grant table above), and it is cut by 25% when the insulation is fitted on the interior side only.
